Volunteer Requirement for the 2023 / 2024 Season

 

Due to the struggle of finding volunteers over the past few years, the board has decided to implement a ‘Volunteer Requirement’. This will be only for those who would like to participate in one or more fundraisers this season.

 

Volunteer Requirement of 2 volunteer shifts will be required for each household (not per athlete).

 

One shift is equal to roughly 2hrs max. To complete your shift requirement you can have 2 members of the same household (13+ years) sign up at one fundraiser or 1 member at 2 separate fundraisers sign up.

 

*Please Note - If you sign up for any Gym requested volunteering, this will NOT count towards the Fundraising Volunteer Requirement.

To Implement this change, we will be requesting each household submit a postdated cheque for May 1, 2024, in the amount of $150. We will accept an EFT if you prefer. Cheques can be dropped off in the locked white mailbox where the board will pick up on a regular basis, which then will be held in trust and returned to you once 2 volunteer shifts have been completed.

 

We will NOT accept company cheques Personal Cheques only!

Before you submit your cheque or EFT we ask that you fill out the Volunteer Cheque Google Form:

This will help us keep track and reconcile all cheques/eft submissions.

*Please remember to input your athletes name in the ‘Memo’ section of your cheque or Message Section of your EFT.

 

Please have this completed before you start any Fundraising. If you join the gym at a later date, please submit as soon as possible.

Also please note by filling out the google form you will automatically be opted in to receive emails regarding Volunteer Opportunities as well as emails for Fundraisers from the Parents Association. At any time you can opt out by sending us an email and requesting to no longer receive these emails.

Fundraiser or Event Volunteers

All Fundraisers or Events will require volunteers, we use Signup.com for all of our volunteering opportunities. We will email out the link to everyone. This email will have all the details and link for you to sign up at to help you fulfill the @ shift Volunteer Requirement. SignUp will require you to create an account before you can sign up.
